Dance Technique

For anyone with at least one season of flamenco experience

A solid technique creates freedom in dance. In these sessions, we will refine posture and arm movements, practice marcajes, spatial transitions, turns, rhythm, coordination and precision. A perfect refresher after the holidays and for those who've studied flamenco before and want to get back into it. Although each session can be taken independently, attending both technique sessions is highly recommended for deeper physical integration and lasting improvement.

La Liz

Flamenco Teacher · Shoonya Dance Centre

With over 25 years of professional experience, Liz brings a profound and authentic knowledge of flamenco. She spent years refining her craft in Seville and Jerez under the guidance of master dancers.

As the driving force behind the company La Guardia Flamenca, she has toured the world and performed in diverse artistic contexts — from traditional flamenco to crossovers with theatre, performance art, jazz, and world music.

"I am grateful that flamenco crossed my path early in life. To me, it is a source of strength and expression, artistic creativity and lived experience. Being able to share this with others is a great joy."

In her classes, Liz focuses on developing proper technique and posture from the very first steps. She creates a space where students are encouraged to find their personal style, placing great importance on musicality and feeling.
