Common questions
A 2.5-hour Lindy Hop bootcamp on Wednesday 9 September 2026 (18:45–21:15) at Shoonya Dance Centre, Ghent — to refresh your vocabulary before the new season of dance classes. Taught by Ann-Sofie Van Enis and Sep Vermeersch. Drill swing outs, partnered Charleston, tuck turns, change of places and many more swing dance moves. Intermediate level. €35.
Intermediate — minimum 1 year of Lindy Hop experience, or having completed the Beginners series at Shoonya. The session assumes you already recognise what a swing out and basic Charleston look like. The aim is to refine and deepen those moves, not to introduce them for the first time.
No partner required. The bootcamp runs on a "everybody leads, everybody follows" basis — you'll practice both roles and rotate partners throughout. Come alone, come as a couple, come with a friend — everyone is welcome as an individual.
No one is assigned a fixed lead or follow role for the session. Every participant practices both roles. If you want to stick to one role, that is also fine.
